China Construction Bank (CCB), China's second largest lender,has opened its first branch in America, and held a ceremony in New York to celebrate the event, marking a significant milestone in the domestic bank’s global strategy

   CCB said the bank will accept wholesale deposits as well as offering foreign exchange, lending, trade finance and other services. And it will leverage the bank’s global network and deep financial resources to support customers, including multinational corporations and financial institutions.

   Earlier in the month the bank opened its first wholly owned subsidiary in Europe, China Construction Bank (London) Limited.

  The establishment of CCB’s branch in New York, the world’s largest financial center, will significantly improve CCB’s ability to provide worldwide services to its customers

  The CCB is the world’s second-largest bank by market value, and has more ATMs globally than any other bank.
